Dear Gayle, You don't say where you are (what part of Florida) so I can only go by what I know of the rules that I'm familiar with. The rules may be slightly different where you are. First, yes, it is absolutely true that most of the legal aid societies can only help under very narrow circumstances. They are nonprofits operating on grant money, most of them really are constrained by those guidelines. A shame I know.
