What's the process for disestablishment of paternity in the State of Florida?

by Janet

What is the process, if any, allowed by a Florida Court of Law, to disestablish paternity of a child? How successful are these attempts?

Disestablishment of Paternity
by: Ruth Tick

Hi Janet,
The central petition is on the Florida Supreme Court's site (www.flcourts.org) and is called Petition to Disestablish Paternity Form 951a. The form instructions state:
"This form should be used by a man who wishes to disestablish paternity or terminate a child
support obligation because he is not the biological father of the child(ren)."
There are specific facts and circumstances that must be present for the petition to be successful. To understand those, please read the order that accompanies the petition. which is also on the Florida Supreme Court's site. Form #951b.

If you have more questions about the forms, or need assistance preparing the forms, you can contact me at 941-237-0951 or floridalegalforms@gmail.com . Or visit my site - www.for-the-people-of-Florida.com

Best Regards,
